The utilization experience of control group members of the National Long Term Care Demonstration (Channeling) is assumed to represent ordinary use of services by this population. Patterns of utilization over 12 months are examined and the implications of these patterns for design of new service delivery models are explored. © 1988 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
