Interpersonal links in Social Networks. New modes of communication in the framework of an argentine university

In the last 20 years, the giddiness and the advancement of new technologies have strongly influenced communication, leading to diverse and unforeseen ways to build links, and impacting on the construction experience of the subjects. This work is a reflection on the Internet and Social networks as part of the virtual links, the connections between the profiles that build users to present their identity aspects on the network, and the question about the "possible replacement" of virtual relationships by real or pre virtual life, among others. In addition, the use of social networks in Argentina and particularly in the National University of San Luis is described, focusing on both academic activities and research practices carried out in recent years. Understanding the Social networks as a sociocultural phenomenon is emerging, opening the field for future research from diverse disciplines.
