摘要
Some confusion exists in the literature on the optimization of kinetic-catalytic methods of determination. Different ways of optimization are applied by the authors of papers in this held. One of the most usual ways is to maximise the difference between the catalysed and uncatalyzed reactions. If the lowest limit of detection is to be considered as the main objective, an alternative way would be to use the catalysed: uncatalysed ratio instead of the difference. This possibility is discussed and finally proposed as the more convenient.
