The social and political consequences of the American Civil War (1861-1865)

The article is devoted to study the social, ethical and political consequences of the American Civil war (1861-1865). The paper examines the impact of war on the transformation of all state systems of the United States, as well as the reflection of consequences of the conflict in the ideology of the inhabitants of the Northern and Southern States. On the basis of this research are presented conclusions about the political failures that first led the country to a Civil war, and then to the delays and failures of the Reconstruction of the South.
