摘要：

The essentially private nature of arbitration requires the existence of methods that ensure transparency in the arbitrator's appointment and the avoidance of conflicts of interest. This article analyses the issue on when should a conflict of interest be deemed to exist and the essential duty of disclosure by the arbitrator.
