摘要
In this investigation we tried to find out the conceptions that on environmental education the university professors have in the area of environmental education in the different universities in Colombia. This was done from a qualitative-quantitative approach, structuring some reliable tools whose results allowed us to know that the teachers identify commonly the environmental education with ecology, with the environment, and also confuse it with the PRAES; they also do not apply the transversal structure in the curricula, but they take it as a subject or one more topic of the subject of natural science or biology. This showed us that the teachers have several conceptions, in many cases wrong about the environmental education. As a result of these investigations we can highlight the need for the teachers to reflect and if it is possible to transform the conceptions and the application of environmental education.
