摘要
This paper concerns Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology and his own appraisal of the most significant aspects of Husserl's thought. Merleau-Ponty's early conception of phenomenology as ''style'' was fully developed as a phenomenology of perception, language and body in their ''inherence in the world''. The implications of the phenomenological field led him to the conception of a new ''indirect ontology'' which constitutes the main key to his last philosophical position. ''La chair du monde'' is not limited to a regional ontology, but is an element of Being in the sense of the ultimate coach of reality comprising man and world.
