MAGNETIC-PROPERTIES AND STRUCTURE INVESTIGATION OF CO/ZR AMORPHOUS MULTILAYERS

摘要
Amorphous multilayer films of Co/Zr made by sputtering of alternating ultrathin layers of Co and Zr have been studied. The magnetic properties and microstructure have also been observed as functions of both composition and layer thickness. It is shown that the method of alternate sputtering leads to the destruction of the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy in these films and greatly improves their magnetic characteristics.
