DRESSING UP TO WELCOME THE NEW CENTURY: BOGOTA (1910-1930)

The aim of this paper is to show preliminary results from the research project entitled "Representations of modernity through clothing: Bogota 1910-1930". The project starts with the reconstruction of several events transpired in the City of Bogota during this period of time. There is a journey through those transformations in clothing that characterized the first decades of the Twentieth Century, ending with a brief analysis of some photographs of the time in order to illustrate the methodology of the study.
