TREATMENT OF THE SEXUALLY ABUSED-CHILD - A REVIEW

Reviewed outcome studies of psychotherapy with sexually abused children. There are remarkably few treatment outcome studies with this population, and due to design problems with the few studies in the literature, at this time insufficient evidence exists to claim that effective interventions with the sexually abused child exist. Suggestions for future research are given, and some tentative suggestions for therapy are explored.
