The results of investigations of the temperature and concentration dependences of the contact angle of wetting of pure and oxidized solid surfaces by melts of alkali metals and their alloys are described. Special attention is given to the experimental conditions and to the state of surfaces. The investigation results ate analyzed, and the main approaches are outlined to the studies of wettability in systems involving alkali metals and their alloys.
