摘要
Secondary zoospores of Spongospora subterranea were observed during and after emergence from sporangia using a light microscope, video equipment and scanning electron microscopy. Freshly discharged zoospores showed rapid movements and sudden changes in direction. Electron micrographs of secondary zoospores showed a lateral insertion of two flagella at an angle of 180-degrees to each other. A biflagellate contaminant appeared to be distinguishable on the basis of its morphology and manner of swimming.
