摘要
The present applied research aimed to investigate the relationship between job stressors and performance with the mediating effect of job burnout among staff of Iran Insurance Company (IIC). In this descriptive-correlational study the population consisted of all employees of IIC's branches in Khuzestan province (Iran) (n= 200). The sample size was determined using Cochran's formula (n= 131). Using simple random sampling method, the samples were selected out of the whole population. To collect data, the Work Performance Questionnaire (Moghimi & Ramezani, 2011), the Job Stressors Survey (Saffar Zadeh & Shekarkan, 1998) and the Maslach Burnout Inventory Maslach & Jackson, 2001) were used. Using the LISREL-8 software, the collected data were analyzed through descriptive statistics (frequency, mean, SD, percentage) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results indicated that job stressors and job burnout significantly affected the performance of staff in IIC (p<0.000). It was also shown that job stressors indirectly affected the performance of staff in IIC via the mediating effect of job burnout p< 0.000).
