摘要：
In this work, I intend to analyse the presence of myth, history and hybridism in Mario de Andrade's novel, Macunaima. Starting by criticizing the closed values which divide everything into pairs of opposites and create the illusion of an identity, I will highlight hybridism in its many shapes in that novel, showing the break of the national identity and the constitution of hybrid cultural subjects.
