摘要
We apply a decoupling scheme within the "golden rule" framework to treat He-4-Cu(110) elastic scattering as a half-collision problem. In this way, the desorption process can be analysed by using the time-dependent wavepacket approach. Selective adsorption resonance widths are obtained by Fourier transform, as a function of scattering geometry parameters, of the time-dependent autocorrelation function. This treatment, complentary to the usual energy representation, constitutes an alternative to study this very slow diffraction decay.
