RESIDENCY CURRICULUM REFORM

A supplement to Annals of Internal Medicine, "Internal Medicine Curriculum Reform," accompanies this issue. The contents are based on presentations at a retreat organized by the Association of Professors of Medicine and the American Association of Medical Colleges. The papers describe the mismatch between what internal medicine residents want and need and what they are now offered; the papers also propose solutions. We hope the supplement will make a turning point in internal medicine residency training.
