SYNTHESIS, STRUCTURE, AND OLEFIN POLYMERIZATION ACTIVITY OF VANADIUM(V) CATALYSTS STABILIZED BY IMIDO AND HYDROTRIS(PYRAZOLYL)BORATO LIGANDS

摘要
The complexes TpV(N-t-Bu)Cl-2 (3), Tp*V(N-t-Bu)Cl-2 (4), TpV(NAr)Cl-2 (5), and Tp*V(NAr)Cl-2 (6) (Tp = HBPz(3), Pz = pyrazolyl; Tp* = HBPz*(3), Pz* = 3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl; Ar = 2,6-i-Pr-2-C6H3), as well as a series of derivatives of these compounds, were synthesized and analyzed by H-1 and V-51 NMR spectroscopy. The crystal and molecular structures of 3 and 6 (shown) were determined by X-ray crystallography. The polymerization of ethylene and propylene, in the presence of 6 and methylalumoxane, is described.
