Social workers, from its origins, have been linked to conflict management. However, the new social reality giving greater prominence to conflict situations, for which new analytical tools and techniques to address them are certainly needed. Mediation appears in this context as an effective formula for constructive conflict management. This article describes the results of a quantitative study to students of the Faculty of Social Work at the Complutense University of Madrid, in reference to the importance granted to training on conflict management.
