TRANSFORMATION OF RUSSIAN PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL ETHICS: SOCIOLOGICAL APPROACH

This paper considers norms of professional Russian medical ethics as a part of wider social context. The research is focused on the transformations of the moral order of Russian healthcare that occurred as the result of social and political reforms in 1990-s. Assumptions presented in this paper are based on the analysis of Russian and Soviet monographs, academic articles and textbooks dedicated to the issues of medical ethics and medical deontology.
