Market and Cooperative Principles in Conflict

This article focuses on the numerical growth of cooperatives in the sphere of trade and services, and how they are weak in the productive spheres. It also analyzes the deviation of values and cooperative principles by the organizations that should sustain them and how they can be originated by internal factors and by the pressures that the harsh environment of capitalist economic relations exerts on the behavior of cooperatives. It shows not the solidary attitude of some cooperatives among themselves, but their pro-capitalist orientation.
