COMPLEXITY THEORY FROM THE ENVIRONMENTAL PERSPECTIVE

The objective of this study is to verify the existence of the typical elements of the Complexity Theory in dynamic and non-linear companies from the environmental perspective. In order to answer this question, both general and specific objectives were developed. In this study a referential theory which supports these objectives and includes concepts of the Complexity Theory such as non-linear behavior, and nonlinear systems evolution, and attractors in organizations, was developed. The methodology can be classified as qualitative by means of an exploratory study. In the companies which were interviewed criteria for selection of interviewees were developed. Ten companies were evaluated in the metropolitan area of Belo Horizonte. Before the conclusion of this survey the results had already been discussed, and validate the original proposition.
