THE REVERSE LOGISTICS USED IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT AS A TOOL OF COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE

With a better knowledge of the population and a more strict observance of the legislation related with environmental issues, the reverse logistic has increased its importance and has acquired its own place on the national and worldwide scenery. The reverse logistic is already a reality since a long time in the Brazilian companies; this is precisely what the researches shows that Brazil is one of the principal countries in aluminum packaging recycles issues. This article studies whether the practices developed by Brazilian companies are the most appropriate and how to make reverse logistics an important competitive advantage. In order to do that, a brief analysis is made considering the Brazilian industry of sodas.
