UNDERGRADUATE EDUCATION FOR THE FOREST PRODUCTS INDUSTRY

摘要：
A survey of U.S. and Canadian universities offering baccalaureate and graduate wood science and technology (WS&T) programs was conducted in the winter of 1989 and results were compared with earlier studies. Findings revealed a marked reduction in WS&T undergraduate student numbers over the period 1977-1988, and only slight increases in numbers of WS&T graduate students. Implications for the forest products industry and for the WS&T profession are discussed.
