TEACHING AND LEARNING-METHODS IN MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT

It is argued that the present array of "methods" in management development has come about by processes of evolution and pragmatic trial and error as new methods have been developed to compensate for the weaknesses of existing ones. The cultures suggest that it is now increasingly possible to design methods systematically on the basis of explicit theories about learning processes and the steps which have been taken in this direction are discussed.
