ON THE CORRELATION OF INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL IN PSYCHOLOGY

The urgency for some correction of the approach to the problem of <<internal>> and <<external>> is substantiated: it is necessary to exceed the limits of the common thesis that external causes take effect through internal conditions, and to emphasize the study of internal subjeCT'S activity including <<spontabeous>> immanent aspects of his development. Illegality of straightforward interpretation of the problem of social conditioning of mental development is shown; the concept of the kernel of subjectivity and the developmental <<landmarks>> of its formation are characterized as well as the changes of the correlation between <<internal>> and <<external>> that take place during the ontogenetic development. The concept of <<little environment>> as a manifestation of <<internal>> rather that <<external>> is considered on the basis of empirical data. Some educational issues are considered in conclusion.
