Peru in the framework of the World Information Society

The Peruvian government has approved a development plan for the information society in Peru, with five strategic items: telecommunications infrastructure, development of human capabilities, ITC applications, citizen participation and development, production / services and e-Government. Although we have grown in information access, we see that the great challenge for the information society development in Peru is to take advantage of ITC to increase the knowledge and promote the social development, taking care always of the ethical dimension of its utilization.
