摘要
The interaction of benzyl alcohol with the Na-, Cs- and H-forms of ZSM-5 zeolites has been studied in a flow reactor in the temperature range 473-723 K and by IR spectra of the adsorbed species. In the IR cell under reduced pressure on H-ZSM-5 (Si/Al = 50), a carbonyl band at 1724 cm-1 appeared at room temperature and its intensity increased on heating to 523 K. The products of the catalytic experiments also contained toluene and benzene. The dependence of product distribution on the acidity and basicity of the zeolite is discussed.
