摘要：
A culture of Citrobacter freundii is capable of phosphate uptake during aerobic culture. These phosphates are released from the cells during anaerobic growth. This process is carried out by cells in the logarithmic growth phase. The greatest changes in cells during phosphate uptake and release occur in the labile phosphate fraction. This suggests that the origin of phosphates released from cells may be associated with the reaction: ATP-->ADP + Pi.
