PREPARATION AND BIOCIDAL PROPERTIES OF MIXED BUTYL CYCLOHEXYL TRIALKYLTIN CARBOXYLATES

Two series of trialkyltin carboxylates containing butyl and cyclohexyl groups on tin, BunCy3-nSnO2CR (n = 1, 2; R = n-Pr, Ph, 4-ClC6H4, 4-NO2C6H4) have been synthesized and their structures characterized by IR, and Sn-119 and C-13 NMR spectroscopies. The compounds are five-coordinate, carboxylate-bridged polymers when R = n-Pr, while the other aromatic carboxylates are four coordinate. The compounds were also tested for their fungicidal, insecticidal and acaricidal activities.
