摘要：
The mathematical technique applied by Gori and Guttari for calculation of degrees of freedom in images formed by point-like elemental pupils is extended to continuous pupils. Eigenvalues of the imaging equation are calculated for the sinc as well as the sinc2 kernel. The effect of noise and 'a priori' information are taken into account.
