GENERATING SERIES FOR DOMINO TABLEAUX

We give explicit formulas for the enumerating series of certain families of domino tableaux according to a statistics called spin. We thus obtain q-analogs of identities of Schur and Littlewood, involving a new family of symmetric functions. The proofs rest upon a bijection between domino tableaux and monomial in biletters, which extends a bijection between Young tableaux and involutions.
