摘要
In the case of rubber modified thermoplastics, maximum fracture toughness can be obtained if a specific, optimum morphology is present. The processes taking place under stress are analyzed by means of electron-microscopic studies. Depending on the thermoplastic matrix, the energy-absorbing mechanisms are crazing or shear deformation between the rubber particles. The individual three-stage deformation mechanisms are described in detail.
