摘要
It is often said that a person's perception is their reality. Do you know how team members perceive your competence as someone in a leadership role? Leadership competence plays a critical role for nurses, and for patients and their families. The more authentic a leader is perceived to be, the less likely nurses will experience work-related bullying and burnout, and want to leave their positions or even the nursing profession.(1) Leadership is also related to work role performance and organizational commitment,(2) and there is a relationship between patient satisfaction and the perception of nurse manager leadership.(3)
