This review deals with structural aspects of phosphine complexes of the heavier p-block elements, specifically aluminium, gallium, indium, germanium, tin, arsenic, antimony, bismuth, tellurium, bromine and iodine. In addition to a description of the structures themselves, consideration is also given to the bonding of the p-block element to phosphine and some general points are made concerning the observed stereochemistries of some of the complexes.
