STUDIES OF CONFORMATION AND ELECTRONIC-STRUCTURE OF THE RADICAL CATIONS OF 2,4-DI(N-CARBAZOLYL)PENTANE AND 1,3-DINAPHTHYLPROPANES IN FLUIDS AND IN RIGID MATRICES BY OPTICAL SPECTROSCOPY AND MOLECULAR-ORBITAL ANALYSES
Conclusions of the previous studies of the systems in the title from laser photolysis and kinetic analyses are confirmed by comparing optical spectra observed for laser-photolyzed solutions at a room temperature with those for radiolyzed frozen solutions. The experimental results are consistent with the computational results of geometry and electronic transition.
