摘要
The Cuban High School Training Model has as a main goal the basic and integral formation of the Cuban adolescent, where learning quality is a key factor. The following paper presents a proposal of activities for the development of meta-cognitive learning strategies in students of Grade 7 at "Heroes del 5 de Septiembre" High School in Cienfuegos. The diagnosis conducted with the students from group 1 at the mentioned school allowed to state that there are difficulties related to the use of meta-cognitive learning strategies. Teaching how to use these specific strategies provides the learning process with the possibility of reaching a developmental, active, significant and reflective level in the student as he/she can become aware of the real state of his/her own cognitive process, and gets to self-regulate his/her study.
