摘要：
The symmetric solutions of linear matrix equations AX = C and AXB = C are considered. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the consistency of the equations with a symmetric condition on solutions are derived using the singular-value decomposition and the generalized singular-value decomposition. Numerical algorithms for solving the equations are suggested. © 1990.
