摘要
As a result of the Treaty of Bucharest (1812) the demands of the Bulgarian immigration put forward at the end of the Russo-Turkish War (1806-12) were under consideration by the Russian authorities. According to the terms of the Treaty, the Danubian Kingdoms and Serbia, as is known, were to be governed independently and thus prepared them for complete independence. Although in this document no mention of the Bulgarians was made, among the people the hope was that liberation would come thanks to the help of Russia.
