摘要
In this article we present an investigation about the students' prior knowledge concerning the causes of flooding and the possibilities of incidence of the same. Our main goal was to answer the following question: What are the predominant opinion among students when asked about the causes of flooding and susceptibility of their occurrence in a given place? Based on the data collected and how the tasks were organized, we found that most of the students benefited from animist and general views about the source of flooding. Likewise, the students called on to their empirical insight to argue about whether this event to succeed in the school they go to and where they live.
