ON COAGULATION MODELS AND THE CALCULATION OF THE OPTICAL-PROPERTIES OF AEROSOLS

摘要
The effect of the composite nature of aerosols on their optical properties is investigated. The coagulation of two different types of aerosols with quite different mean dimensions is studied. The dependence of the optical properties of the aerosols on the size and velocity distributions of the latter is elucidated. The kernel in the Schumann equation for the coagulation of homogeneous spherically symmetric aerosols when there are no interactive forces between them is found in analytical form. The solutions of the system of integrodifferential equations for the coagulation of soot and dust particles with one another, which generalizes the Schumann equation, are investigated numerically and analytically. The results of numerical calculations are presented. Algorithms for calculating spherical Bessel functions with a complex argument are used in the proposed numerical method.
