摘要：
The authors announce results which prove the existence of the spectral dimension ds for Sierpinski carpets in two dimensions. Their method employs the Einstein relation zeta =d Omega -df. Using this, numerical calculations of the resistance of approximations to the Sierpinski carpet yield an accurate estimate for ds.
