Thief and Paranoid Man in the La Castaneda Lunatic Asylum. On the Historiographic Importance of Madmen

摘要
This article analyzes the case of Alberto Nicolat Talocin: a paranoic that was hospitalized several times in the lunatic asylum La Castaneda. On the basis of their autobiographies and the thesis written by doctor Gregorio Oneto Barenque, the author reconstruct the way "madmen" related to therapeutic institutions and psychiatric language. They also discuss the role of the mentally ill and the cultural context of the construction of scientific knowledge of psychopathies.
