摘要：

Let M be a maximal subgroup of a finite group G. The pair (A, B) of subgroups of G is called a.-pair of M if the following conditions hold: (a) B (sic) G, B < A, (b) < M, A >= G and B <= M and (c) A/B has no proper normal subgroup of G/B. In this paper, we investigate the structure of a finite group G according to the number of its maximal subgroups and theta-pairs.
