PULSE-RADIOLYSIS STUDIES OF ETHANOL-TRIETHYLAMINE GLASSES AT 6-90-K

Pulse radiolysis studies of electron trapping in triethylamine, ethyl alcohol and mixed glass containing 40 mole % of triethylamine were carried out. The temperature dependence of e(t)-electron trapping) yield and time evolution of absorption spectra indicate that electrons in the mixture arc trapped in triethylamine, ethanol and mixed tetramer traps. The results allow to determine e(t)- absorption spectrum in mixed traps. [Sic]efficiency of electron localization in different kinds of traps at low temperatures are also presented. The investigations indicate a great importance of matrix structure in the process of electron trapping.
