摘要：

An extension of Lipset's 1960 or 1981 hypothesis regarding socioeconomic status and social attitudes was investigated. Specifically, the relation between family income and gender-role egalitarianism of 608 college students was examined by sex and age. For 149 younger men (less-than-or-equal-to 21 years) a significant correlation (-.17) was noted, but the relation (-.01) did not hold for the 79 older men (over 21 years) or for women (-.02 and .04) of either age group.
