THE LEGAL ASPECTS OF THE ADMINISTRATION OF WATER RESOURCES IN HAITI

The article contributes to the knowledge on the legal aspects of the administration of the hydric resource in the Republic of Haiti. Focused on the legal evolution of water resource management from the beginning of the 20th century to the present and in symmetry with the political and institutional changes of that Caribbean nation and delimited to the resource of drinking water and sanitation. A qualitative methodology was adopted based on own experience in the field, the analysis of public policy instruments and the process of modernization of the State for the efficient management of resources.
