Proposal for a public administration based on development of sustainable destinations in argentina

This paper describes sustainability adding the political and administrative field to the three traditional ones: environmental, economic and social & cultural. It considers Argentina as a case of study. The National Tourism Law 25997 constituted a regulatory framework for this activity and it showed the convenience of making a master plan. The purpose of this publication is to analyze the political and administrative focus on sustainability and the relation among the master plan and the provincial plans. The four topics considered are: organization and general management; supply development; quality management, investment and financing sources; marketing and promotion.
