ADDED VALUE OF SOCIAL ECONOMY IN THE EUROPEAN EMPLOYMENT STRATEGY

The flourishing of Social Economy in Europe is an initiative of the civil society. This initiative is a spontaneous answer to the demonstrated failure of the obsolete forms of capitalism and neoliberalism which have been reigning till now. The public powers - national and European ones-, as long as they must guarantee social integration, are making great efforts in enhancing and promoting this new formulation of the labor relations, in which productivity and economic competition are subject to well-being of the human beings. In this context our work is a reflection about the importance that could have the organizations and entities of Social Economy as performers of the European Employment Strategy, one of the key tools for the achievement of high levels of employment, redistribution of wealth, cohesion and social justice. These purposes perfectly match with the values and principles defining entities grouped under the banner of the ES.
