摘要
In the present study the methanol extract of stem bark of Schinus terebinthifolius was evaluated at different concentration (4000, 2000, 1000 and 500 mu g/mL) against the growth of some plant and human pathogenic bacteria namely; Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coil, Ralstonia solanacearum, Erwinia amylovora and Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. carotovorum using the Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion susceptibility test. The methanol stem bark extract presented a moderate activity against the studies bacterial pathogens B. subtilis, E. coil and R. solanacearum, where other bacterial strains (E. aznylovora and P. carotovorum subsp. carotovorum) were showed resistances to the methanol extract.
