摘要
This study includes a consideration of the current literature teaching in high school and the introduction of a work proposition with a short story and a chronicle as corpus, both of them chosen from the writings of Milton Hatoum. The aim is to focus on the main goals of the literary teaching at school: the formation of competent readers of literary texts, the consolidation of reading habits, the expansion of the students' repertoire and the critical perception of the real world. We show the main lines of chronicles and short stories, the relevance of the work with the short narrative at school and we make a brief presentation of the author chosen for the practice. The work suggestion reinforces the concept that the text should be the central object in the classes of literature.
